Hello Fancy Pants friends! Today I’d like to share a fun re-purposing project. When being creative there is nothing I love more than re-purposing something, making it fun and new again. Especially if it’s something that would have just been tossed in the trash. In this case, a little paint and some pretty papers from the Life is Beautiful collection and I have something new (that I enjoyed creating).
What did I use? Well, this clock that didn’t work anymore seemed like it still had more potential than just ending up in the trash can. All it took was taking out a few tiny screws to release the back from the frame. The original frame was gold, so I used some pink acrylic paint to change the color.
I love the color and tone on tone pattern of the Summer Picnic paper, so I chose it for my background. A gorgeous paper that will be a great background for my Chipboard Alphabet letters and my ephemera pieces that coordinate with this line. I was so excited to use these chipboard letters! They are so cool! They did not disappoint. Adhesive backed and easy to use.
There are so many adorable pieces of ephemera in the Ephemera Pack that it was hard to choose. Discussions, decisions, lol. I chose to use the cute bike with a basket of flowers and added the balloons to the basket. The sun was a must! I added a couple of buttons for some fun dimension.
It’s amazing the things you can bring back to life if you just think out of the box a little bit. Before you give that old thing a toss, think about pulling out some of your Fancy Pants pretties and give it new life.
Thanks so much for stopping by!
