Good morning Fancy Pants fans! Nicole here today to share a quick and easy card set for you.
I love using up my stash by making cards. It really is a great way to stretch your supplies and working with a repetitive theme really makes the project process quick and easy too! I started with the 6×6 paper pad in the Golden Days collection, a few basic punches and the clear stamp set in the Golden Days collection!
I started with the plain gray paper in the paper pad and stamped the dotted pattern along the top corner of the card base to make a tone on tone gray background that mimics the coral dotted one in the paper pad. I stamped my simple “thank you” sentiment (a theme for my card set) and then really, just added some simple punched flowers in a few different sizes!
I love the touches of buttons on the inside of the main flower on the card, and when using the paper pad, everything goes together so there is no time wasted on worrying whether or not things work – they already do!
Next, I created this simple woodsy card using the woodgrain paper in the Golden Days paper pad again.
This time, I kept it even more simple, I stamped that same “thank you” sentiment on scrap of white cardstock that I had punched out with a scallop edged circle punch. I added more of those smaller punched flowers from the Golden Days paper pad and layered them together with small buttons.
I wrapped some natural twine around my fingers and looped like a small wreath behind my sentiment to make it a little more textured. I added a small strip of Millie & June gold glitter washi tape to the bottom of the card for a little sparkle too!
Last, I created this page using more of that simple gray paper in the paper pad and that yummy coral woodgrain that I really just had to use! The woodgrain ties the set together – woodgrain for one card, and coral to match the other.
Yep, more of those punched flowers on this card from the paper pad, adding them to all three of the cards in the card set creates a unity throughout the set and really, keeps the creative process quick and easy too! Of course, I used that “thank you” stamp again for my sentiment and layered everything together with some dimensional foam adhesive for a little pop!
I hope you are inspired to create some quick and easy cards with a few basic supplies and get more out of your stash!
