The Cutest Easter Bunny Cards!

Hi there, my crafty friends!

Today I’m sharing a few Easter cards with you & they are adorable!

I’ve used the bright and colorful Take Note collection to create all of these cards. I just love the colors and patterns in this line! I knew I was not going to use embellishments, so the original theme of the collection didn’t bother me, the papers were perfect! Sometimes themes make you think you won’t be able to use a collection, but that is NOT the case with the Fancy Pants Designs Collections!

I remembered a super adorable cut file the lovely Bea Valint created last year and thought I’d use it on my cards today. I however wanted to make both girl and boy bunnies, so I modified her original cut file to have a boy too (nose and eyelashes are different). I cut all of the bunnies from textured white card stock and for the rest of the card I used patterned papers.

I cut little flowers for the girls (also part of the cut file) and hand cut a couple of hats for the boys. Plus added little bows for neck tie. I stamped my sentiment using a mini alpha stamp set and added some Nuvo drops to finish off these four cards.

I also wanted to make more cards where the bunnies’ ears are hanging off the card. I simply folded a standard A2 size card in half, this way the card still fits in the same sized envelope, but the ears have room to stick out! So cute!

On this set, I also added a piece of patterned paper to my white card base. I cut some grass with the help of a die and layered two on top of each other using some foam adhesive to create some dimension. I backed the bunny ears and faces with patterned paper, then glued them on the card front and decorated them with flowers and a hat like the first set.

For my sentiment I used one of the patterned papers in the Take Note collection that had a fun, bold alphabet & fussy cut the tiny alphas to create the title. So fun and unique!  I added some Nuvo drops and they were done!

Thanks for “hopping” by today~ I hope you love these cards as much as I loved creating them!

Have an awesome day!

Getting a little Artsy Fartsy…

Happy Friday, Friends!

Mary-Ann here… something to learn about me…I am well known in the neighborhood as the lady with all the art supplies {probably like many of you}.  You need something done, chances are, I have the tools you need.  Assisting my little neighborhood pal on her 2nd grade art project was so much fun.    I wanted to be sure to document it.  I used the new The Bright Side Collection. For my layout, I wanted to ‘semi’-recreate the picture she completed.  So, I used a FREE cut file from Paper Issues- Sunburst Background, enlarged it to have the sun, overlapping the edge of the corner.  If I had thought in advance, I would have directly added my journaling to the sun rays.  Instead, I cut the strips of journaling and individually placed them on the rays.

You can see the journaling close-up here.

I also used another FREE cut file from Paper Issues called Rings of Life for my flowers.  I wanted to add something delicate with the fun colorful papers in The Bright Side Collection.  Behind my photos, I layered some of the colorful tags in The Bright Side Tag pack and a few more papers for layering!

Oh, and that bow!  It was part of the Pretty Paper Bows from the Millie and June Collection?  It had a package of Paper Bows.  I used the gold one that worked perfectly with the yellow background paper.  I love mixing older with the new.

Thanks for stopping by today.

Party Pages with The Bright Side

Hello, friends!
Today I wanted to share a layout I created about my New Year’s Eve. I used The Bright Side  collection, which, at first look, would be used for Spring or Summer photos. I love that Fancy Pants Design always tries to include basic and general paper so that their lines can be used for almost anything at any time!
Fancy Pants Collections Used: The Bright SideJoy Parade
I loved the green and black look, and that background paper is my favorite ever! The script writing is so fun and can be used for any subject!
I also added a piece of flair from the Joy Parade collection~ it was the perfect touch I was looking for and still worked with the new line perfectly!

The Good Stuff Layered Layout

Hello, Fancy Pants Friends!

Today I am sharing a special photo I recently found that brought back so many memories!  My husband and I have been married over 20 years and together over 24. This is us, early on in our dating period.  I stumbled across this photo just last week before Valentines day.  We look like such babies.  I wanted to document it with product, worthy of hanging on the wall.  I had just received my new goodie box and The Bright Side collection~ it had the perfect colors–and was totally worthy of displaying!
I love lots of layers and my mom gifted me tons of her vintage buttons.  She even scrounged tons from her knitting group.  My step mother also gave me her mother’s tin.  I can not tell you where these buttons came from, but I am certain they have a 20+ year story to tell, too.  It’s so fun to mix new and old…and they look so perfect together!
I love when the product itself, offers you titles within the collection.  I used ‘the good stuff’ as my easy title.  I used piece of a cut file from The Cut Shoppe – Blooming Bouquets.  It added a little more depth to the  floral clump.
Thank you for popping in today.  I look forward to seeing what you do with the new The Bright Side collection.

Good morning Fancy Pants Designs fans! Nicole here today to share a fun project that combines a few of my favorite Fancy Pants collections.
I wasn’t sure where I was going to go with my project, so I enlisted my 8 yr old daughters help for this one. I needed an idea to get me going, so I asked her to randomly pick a paper from my Fancy Pants stash, hoping it would kick start my mojo.
She picked the All Hallows Eve paper in the Spellbound collection… At first, I was like – what am I going to do with that, it’s Halloween…then I flipped it over and saw all those great circles. I decided to punch several of them out and used them to build the flower on my page.
Beauty full
To create those flowers, I punched a 1 1/2″ circle from scrap paper and then adhered 1″ circles around the outer edge until they were basically even around the scrap piece. I added a layered punched circle to the center to add a center to each of my flowers to add a little interest.
Beauty cl2
I added a title under my title, so leaves to my flower stems (also from my trusty circle punches) and a few fun embellishments from the Sweet Nothings collection!

That’s it for me today ! I hope the next time you are looking for a little kickstart, you can shop your stash for you and go from there!

Spring Banner with our NEW The Bright Side Collection!

Hello, Fancy Friends!

It’s Jodi here with a new project featuring our brand new The Bright Side Collection!  So…how many Target dollar spot shoppers do we have out there?  Probably all of you!  I picked up this simple felt banner in the dollar spot a while back and it was just sitting in my craft bin waiting for the perfect way to be used… along came this new collection…the perfect match!  There was a purple and a bright orange piece that I took out, but the rest of the pieces were bright and cheery and perfect for a spring time banner!

I wanted to keep it simple and clean, but add a couple of my favorite photos as the highlight.  This project was quick and easy and I only used a couple sheets of 12×12 paper for the banner backgrounds, an ephemera pack, puffy dot stickers and the crocheted flowers!  And of the papers and products are from The Bright Side Collection, including the darling crochet flowers that we brought back for this spring collection!  Don’t you just love them?

Here are a few close ups (I found the cute, colorful and perfectly coordinating ceramic strawberry baskets at Walmart):

And here are a few more close-up so of the banner project! Create your own… this collection is in stores now (shop local first ;)! ) and can also be found on our website .

Here’s hoping that Spring will arrive soon now that I’ve put my banner up!

Happy Spring!
