Interested in going to a Pool Party? Or throwing your own? Or receiving a gift from a Pool Party? Let me show you what I created for this summers bash to get you started!!
I used the Poolside collection to create these fun, colorful tags. I have not yet decided if I will be using them as invites for the neighbors, tags for party gifts or on a tags on a scrapbooking layout. The possibilities are endless.
This guy was the first tag I made. The duck float is one of my favorites. There are several floats in the Chipboard pack too.
These were so fun to make. They take hardly any time and are great for getting your creative juices flowing, inviting, decorating or scrapbooking about your favorite pool parties this summer!!
The Good Stuff. I want to document and remember all The Good Stuff from my girls’ childhood. SO many awesome (and not so awesome – but usually laughable) moments. This is one of the awesome moments. Going to visit Roxy and Sally. Probably thee most favourite animals in my Milly’s childhood thus far.
I wanted to keep the layout bright and fun. I love the photos I took of this particular day at my Uncles visiting their horses and didn’t want to take away from the gorgeous photos. I tend to be a minimalist but pushed myself to be less of a minimalist on this layout. I found that keeping the colour palette simple helped a huge amount. Yellow, white and black were the main colors for this page.
I love the birds in the ephemera pack in The Bright Side collection.
I also snuck in a few of the chipboard sticker elements. The sunshine paper is from the Poolside collection.
The layout design is based roughly on another layout I made last year. When I’m stumped I go through old layouts and look at them as if they are a sketch. Sometimes that’s all I need to get going and pump out a few layouts in a short amount of time.
I hope you found something new in my project! I’m always trying to keep it simple, but fresh and on-trend, too!
Today I am sharing one of my planner pages that I
recently made. This particular planner is a Leuchttrum 1917 dotted
planner. This is my favorite notebook/planner to create lists in.
Before I sit down to decorate, having a plan or starting point is key.
For this particular page, the Summer Lovin’ pattern paper from the
Poolside collection drew me in. It has these rich green palm leaves
with a pretty red and coral background. The paper is stunning! That
flamingo clip is too cute! Such a great collection!
The puffy stickers are from the Wish Season collection and the tags
are from the Happy Place collection. Three different collections were
used on this page but they all work perfectly together!

I’m ready for a tropical vacation, how about you? Let’s chat about the cards:
I used the Pool Party panel from Poolside. I love the repeat pattern of the text. I framed it with a panel of pink and added a Tag from The Bright Side collection. Who doesn’t love laying up the Ephemera?!
Next up is a favorite design of mine, pure clean + crisp:
I wanted the quote to the be star of the show so I mounted it onto 3 layers of cardstock. I backed the square features with leaves from the Ephemera pack.
Next up is my final card for today:
This card came together so quickly and I love how playful it is.
I’m definitely ready for the warmer weather, how about you?
I love creating handmade gifts for the most important people…and who is more important than the mother figures in our lives? It’s not too late to create something today…here’s an idea to get you started!!
Good morning Fancy Pants fans! Nicole here to share some fun cards using the Bright Side collection! I am a huge paper hoarder, so I am always trying to stretch my paper supplies as much as possible.
I created these cards with minimal supplies and you can too!
I started by fussy cutting several sprigs from the pretty floral paper in the Bright Side collection 6×6 paper pad. I cut a few whole images, but mostly just the half shapes around the outer edge of the patterned paper.
Once I had all the pieces cut, I added a few washes of bright yellow paint to two different card bases for a big POP of color!
For this first card, I used a frame from the Bright Side ephemera diecut pack. Once I adhered it with some foam adhesive to the front of the card base I added in lots of those fussy cut flowers along the one edge of the frame. All that was left to do was add a title using of puffy letter stickers from the Joy Parade collection to add a sentiment.
For my second card, I used those same fussy cut flowers and adhered them around a sentiment stamped pennant title. I added some tiny little fussy cut red flowers from the same patterned paper and a few enamel dots to complete the design on the card.
This is a great way to create multiple cards with a similar look, but unique as well! Most of us have more than 1 card to give on Mother’s Day so it’s a fun way to create a handmade gift for those that are so deserving! Thanks for joining me today!
It’s Amy T back with a giftie duo that features Poolside! While this is summer focused, wouldn’t it make a fun idea for Mother’s Day…especially if you’re gifting a gift card or something on the small side!
Oh my, those colors are wonderful aren’t they?! I’ll first chat about the card:
One of my favorite papers from Poolside is Summer Lovin’. That green is spectacular. I incorporated a tag from The Bright Side Collection. I layered it with Poolside Ephemera. I diecut the hello from my stash. The stamped sentiment is also from my stash.
I used the Summer Lovin’ on the diecut pillow box. It has a Starbucks card popped into it. I topped the box with a fun tag that also has Poolside Ephemera.
As I type up this post, it is pure Springtime in the Pacific Northwest. Sadly it will be changing to rain and more rain in a couple days.
This is going to a friend of mine that has a summer time birthday. Perfect so that she can treat herself to a cool frappuccino!
Thanks for stopping by! I hope you’ll find some fun ways to gift your friends for summer…no reason, just to celebrate someone you care about!
