New Home Gift Set

09/21/18

Hey Fancy Pants Designs Fans!
Hi!  It’s Amy T back with you featuring a Magnolia Moments card and gift duo.
Home Sweet Home Duo by Amy Tsuruta for Fancy Pants Designs
I had fall on my mind when I was creating this set.  Let’s chat about the card first.
Welcome by Amy Tsuruta for Fancy Pants Designs
I used the ephemera to created a welcoming front door scenery, complete with Welcome mat.  The wood veneer banner is from my stash.

I couldn’t wait to work with the large kraft pillow box that I found squirreled away among my crafting supplies.  I layered the two strips of paper for the belly band.  The boxwood garland was from my stash and I love how it works with all the ephemera I used as the focal point.
I’m mad for plaid, aren’t you?  I decided to just use a strip of the pattern paper so that the tag and ephemera airplane would be the star of the card.
I hope you check out the Magnolia Moments Collection, it is gorgeous elements!
Thank you so much for stopping by!

Fall Weather

09/19/18

Hello, dear friends! Maryám here with you today to share a new project using Magnolia Moments Collection.

maryamp_sep18_fpd_project1-01

For today’s project I’m using a photo I took this fall while we were walking home. The idea of this layout started with the photo. I decided to recreate the way home with the help of the papers and embellishments of the collection.

At the bottom part, I added some little houses I fussy cut from one of the papers, some die-cuts, and some chipboard shapes to represent our neighborhood. Also added a door die-cut beside the photo and a cute phrase at the top.

Here are some close-ups:

Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a great day!

Creative Card Trio

09/11/18

Hey Fancy Pants Designs Fans!
Hi!  It’s Amy T back with you again with a fun card trio featuring the On Our Way collection.
Today by Amy Tsuruta for Fancy Pants Designs
I love the Planes, Trains & Automobiles stripe panel.  I used a oval die and centered it on the panel.  I used an ephemera piece from The Bright Side Collection.  Love how you can mix and match collections.

I love wreaths on doors.  I think it is a welcoming touch for guests.  The wreath and family ephemera do not have any adhesive on them.  The clothes pin anchors them on the card.

This card duo were made especially for some friends that are both pilots.  Le’ts chat about the Flight Plan one first.

I’m smitten by this color duo, aren’t you?  So unexpected but fresh and fun.  I used a star die and added another star to the tag from the Tag collection.  I added a die cut hello from my stash.

I hope you check out the On Our Way Collection, it is filled with such fun colors and designs!

Welcome Banner

09/10/18

Hello, Friends! Maryám here with you to share a new Project using Fancy Pants Designs Magnolia Moments Collection.

For today’s post, I have created two garlands, one has a lot of rosettes and the other one has some banners/little flags.

Here is a look at both garlands:

maryamp_aug18_fpd_project1-01

For the first one, I created some paper rosettes and I added some chipboard spools to some of them. Once I had them all done, I adhered a piece of paper on the back because I wanted to hang them on my wall.

For the second one, I cut some banners and some circles from the back side of the ‘our story’ paper. I placed the circles over the banners and also added some of the puffy alphas and created the word welcome.

I hope you liked these ideas. Let me know if you have any questions.

Have a wonderful day!

Happily Ever After

09/07/18

Hello friends! Last month I shared a page I created in my journaling bible using products from the Magnolia Moments line! I’m back today to share another!
I loved the paper from this collection and when I saw this navy print with these tiny houses I knew I wanted to cut them out and use them as little pieces of ephemera.
Stephanie Adams_July 25_Project 2_Photo 2
On this specific page I’m documenting how living in the Spirit and being thankful for all my family, friends,. and neighbors is definitely a happy ever after! I cut the little houses to make a cute little neighborhood and even though this little tree wasn’t really a “tree” it worked out perfectly. It’s a simple page with a lot of impact and gratitude!

Again I hope this inspires you to not only think outside the normal bible journaling supplies but also look at different ways to use pieces of patterned paper in all your projects!
Until next time…cheers,
Stephanie

Homemade Cards

Magnolia Trio Set
Hello Friends! I know a lot of you really want to start creating cards, but it seems really hard. If that thought is crossing your mind, you could be overthinking a design.
Today I have a super simple set of cards, that can be created with just a few items
Magnoliatriocards1_Sept_latishayoast
This card set is using the new Magnolia Moments collection.  It has that Urban Farmhouse look that is so on trend right now.
Magnoliatriocards2_Sept_latishayoast
The base of the cards are all the same. White cardstock, with two different pattern papers adhered directly to the cardfront.
Magnoliatriocards3_Sept_latishayoast
What makes each card different is the placement of the diecuts, which were adhered with foam adhesive.
Magnoliatriocards4_Sept_latishayoast
My advice, is to start with a simple design. Then create a bunch of cards with that design until you are bored with it, and then repeat with another simple design.
