Hello friends! Here we are headed into a brand new year. How exciting!

It’s a great time to create something new, fun and  bright!  I created this 12×12 canvas for my craft room using one older Fancy Pants collection and one of the more recent ones.

One of the things I love about Fancy Pants Collections is that they can often work really will together.  In this case I used ” Joy Parade” and “Beautiful life”.

Both Collections are full of really cheerful happy papers. Bright colors and fun designs.

When this design came to mind I knew there were some great letters and words from each collection that would work well.

The Puffy Script stickers from the Joy Parade collection are just such a a gorgeous font.  I mixed up my title using the “Always” word, as well as the Printed Cork pieces and other Puffy letters.

I’m enjoying having this new projects hanging in my creative space.  These papers just make me happy! So fun and Cheery!

Happy New Year to all of  you!   Don’t forget to mix it up!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Good morning Fancy Pants Designs fans! Do you need some last minute holiday card ideas? I have a couple cards to share today using leftovers from an upcoming project using the Holiday Hustle collection (stay tuned) that I was able to put to good use for a few last minute cards that I needed for this holiday season.

Holiday cards

See a theme? Circles. Love me some circles and a trusty circle punch will take you far! I punched several circles for another project and has too many left over to toss. So, why not build some simple patterns on some cards right? I started with the tree shape, moving different sized circles around until I got the tree shape just right, adding in some holiday required sparkle to any gaps in the design.

Joy card

I finished this one off quickly with a JOY stamped tree stump from the Merry & Bright collection. These stamps are so perfect to add a little holiday greeting!

Next, I still had more punched circles left over – so I created this card with a confetti like feel for the circles this time.

Holiday magic card

Again, I added in a stamped sentiment and more bling – a requirement for holiday cards, don’t you think!

Merry & Bright Wreath | Latisha Yoast

Hello friends!  Today I am sharing a fun way to use up your 12 x 12 pattern paper, to create a wreath.  It only takes a few supplies, and you have a beautiful home decoration.
To create this wreath, start with a plain styrofoam wreath.
Next, trim pattern paper to 1 inch by 6 inch, you will need enough to go around the circle.
Apply adhesive to one end of the pattern paper and fold over.
Start apply the folded paper to the wreath using a strong adhesive.
Use another sheet of pattern paper, to do the inside.  Embellish with ribbon and a sentiment.

Hello Fancy Pants Friends!

Vicki here today to share another Home Decor project for the holidays.   The Holiday Hustle Collection is so fun and inspiring, filled with pretty papers, and matching ephemera, tags, buttons ect. So much to inspire you when creating your projects.

I found this plain inexpensive wood star at the local craft store, and thought it would be a fun base for these adorable pieces from this collection.

This project came together easy. As a matter of fact I’m thinking it would be a great project for my craft group.

I love using foam squares and tape to give some of my pieces dimension.  It looked especially cool on this project because the car seems to look like its riding on top of the snow.

Wooden star

It’s always my favorite part of my projects.. to go back and add little bits of interest.  These buttons are just adorable!  I really wanted to incorporate this cute little bow, and I found the perfect spot for it.

After adding a few sprigs of greenery I added a Fancy Pants Cork star to the top to finish it off.

I have this hanging on the cupboard door of my Hoosier and it looks adorable.

I hope you feel inspired to create a little holiday diy project of your own.

Holiday Cards | Latisha Yoast

Hello friend, today I am sharing a few cards, to help inspire and motivate you to finish up those last minute holiday cards.  I love to make cards, and I love opening the mailbox and seeing a card sent to me.  Its an inexpensive way to tell someone you are thinking of them.
With just a few diecuts, pattern paper and ribbon, you have a beautiful card on your hands.  The 6×6 Holiday Hustle and die cut ephemera pack, are the perfect combo, to create multiple cards!
I am about to tell you all a secret.  When you use foam adhesive, it creates depth, and gives the illusion of a professional card.  It really is the secret behind the cards I make.
Adding the little strip of pattern paper to the bottom of the card, helps to visually balance the bottom of the card.
For this next card, I wanted to create a scene using diecuts and pattern paper.  First I diecut a scalloped rectangle using paper from the Holiday Hustle 6×6 pad, then adhered it using foam adhesive.  Using a few tree die cuts fro the Ephemera kit, adhered them to the pattern paper using foam adhesive.  Next the car die cut was added and adhered to the card, along with the sentiment.  To embellish a bow was added.
Adding a little bit of black will always make a card “pop”.  The “hustle & bustle” sentiment was the perfect choice.
Here are three different ways to use the Holiday Hustle collection, I hope they inspired you to send cards this holiday season!
