I picked a butterfly cut file I liked (one of the butterflies in the Butterfly Cluster cut file by Paige Taylor Evans) and cut it from different patterned papers and in different sizes. I then stitched 3-4 together, using my sewing machine.
I also cut another cut file from textured white card stock (The Chicken Wire by The Cut Shoppe), then I started putting my layout together. I picked a blue striped paper from the Family&Co collection for my background. I love this paper!
I then adhered the Chicken Wire cut file to my background paper. I didn’t put glue everyone on the cut file because I wanted to create a dimensional look. I arranged the butterflies the way I liked them, then glued them down.
I layered some tissue paper, tags and die cuts behind both photos and placed them on the layout. For my journaling I used a journaling spot. To finish off my layout I added a chipboard title and a few chipboard hearts.
I hope you like how it turned out! I love dimension and layered hearts/butterflies/etc give so much texture to the layout too! I realise this style is not for everyone, but it is certainly my style!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a wonderful day!
Maryám here with you to share a new project using The Bright Side Collection. For today’s project, I made a mini album. The size of it is about 3×5 inches but there are also some pages that are a bit smaller.
In this page, I decided to add a pocket with sequins. I made the pocket from one of the photo sheets from the Fancy Pants Designs Insta Album.
For this page, I used vellum sheet. Over it, I added the words Fun Day using the puffy alphabet stickers from the Sweet Nothings Collection.
For the middle page, I decided to make some pockets. I had a lot of photos that I wanted to include and pockets are great for that.
In this page, I had the other part of the sequin pocket but in here, I added a phrase using the same alphabet I used before. In the right side of these pages, there is a vellum pocket, I put a photo and a tag in it.
And that’s it for today friends! I hope you liked this mini album. Please, let me know if you have any questions by commenting below.

I am excited to back with Fancy Pants for another term. I hope that you will continue to be inspired by what I create with the FP product and with the other girls on the team. It is a fun place to be!
I have been crafting since I was a child. Macaroni art with my mom, the girl scout leader and my own style of traditional scrapbooking all through high school. I started to really incorporating pretty papers and embellishments in 2000. 5 years before my boy was born. Being married to a Marine, we had plenty of memories and stories that I needed to document. I have enjoyed myself ever since.
For todays post, I created a silly layout about Snapchat. I recently discovered how to actually use the app. (I was schooled by a teenager!) My son HATES when I capture him with the different filters but I think it is so much fun. You can see in one of these photos that I am seriously laughing. It is a hoot.
I used the fun red and blue bits from The Bright Side Collection. I layered triangular papers with ephemera and a large banner that I created, ties it all together.
I used a black title because I had tucked in a black piece of ephemera, used black word paper and twine from the tags.
I love the bright colors on this collection. There are so many directions you can go with this line. I have another layout later in the month that will be mostly yellow and black and all boy so be sure to check in for all the ideas from our team!
Thanks for popping in.

Maryám here with you today. I still can’t believe it, but this is my very first post as a part of the Fancy Pants Design Team and I’m super excited to be here!! Thanks, Jodi, for this amazing opportunity.
The papers from this collection are beautiful and I wanted to make a layout showcasing them. I searched on Pinterest for some quilt patterns and once I found one I liked, I did the same but using papers!! Once I had the background of my page done, I added the photo and some ephemera pieces, as well as some chipboard stickers. I also added a label and stamped the date of the photo on it. To finish my layout I added some pink ink splatters.
Here are some close-ups photos.
