Hello everyone! Nicole here to share an interactive December mini album with you using the Holiday Hustle Brag cards!
At first I thought this album would be a Christmas countdown project, but as I started working through it, it became an easy way to capture my family’s December memories AND a countdown too! I thought we could use it as a countdown and then go back in later, add photos, memorabilia and more to make it a December to remember project.
I started by grabbing some of my favorite brag cards from the Holiday Hustle collection. I love the red foil on this one, so it only seemed fitting to be the cover for the album. I punched some holes along the top edge and used jump rings to hold everything together.
I created 2 chipboard “covers” for this flip type book, covered them with patterned paper and cardstock and then adhered some folded pieces of ribbon to hold the covers in place. This also added some stability for this book to stand on its’ own.
I decorated each page in my album with a number and a few simple details. I didn’t want to go too crazy embellishing so I had room for photos and more later on in the process.
Some pages are more filled in and others are more sparse, with some stamping or even just a stitched border.
And a few are just the brag cards themselves for a filler like page. I added some glitter to the words on this one using some glitter glue.
Now, I have a countdown book AND a place to hold those memories when it is all said and done! Such a quick project to do this time of year, when time seems to fly so quickly!
