Hello everyone, I am excited to be sharing on the Fancy Pants Design blog again. I kick off this gorgeous week with a Fancy Cuts project! I loved putting this page together…want to know why? When faced with the gorgeous array of patterned papers from the Life if Beautiful collection, I struggled to choose just a few. I however found a solution by not choosing at all…I just used them all LOL! The cut file I selected made feat this possible. Let me show you how.
Hey Girl by Kim Watson
This is the page “Hey Girl”, a fun colorful page that is going in a frame. I love that it perfectly captures her personality at 12 yrs old.
Using white cardstock, I cut the file & filled each gap with patterned paper. For variety, you’ll notice I added some watercolor patterns to the B & W pindot paper, as well as a few plain colors for balance. Machine stitching made sure each little piece stay where it was supposed to
The super woodgrain chipboard alphas made a great focal area at the top of the photos drawing one’s eye to the cluster. Layers of patterned paper, tags, ephemera & puffy stickers create dimension & interest.
Don’t you just love the gold foil puffy sentiment from the Millie & June collection? A Flair button, puffy stickers & ephemera, finish things off nicely here.
I used this little tag cluster with a mini bow, ephemera, tag from Attwell & puffy stickers was all I needed to finish off the asymmetrical page design. Thanks so much for stopping by today. I hope you have found my project inspiring! Happy Monday!
