Hi friends…Kim here with a new page using beautiful the Golden Days collection. Today I have a challenge for you, have you ever considered supersizing an element on your page for emphasis? Although not fall themed in content…I wanted to capture this memory using fall products, especially given there were so many embellishments in this collection that helped me tell my story. To do this I die-cut a large over sized leaf in woodgrain patterned paper, this became the grounding element on my page design.

It Takes a Village by Kim Watson

For the background, I repeated the words: HAPPY FALL DAYS, and die-cut them from vellum. This gave my background sophisticated interest. Next came the ink splatters for a flash of color, on top which I placed my gorgeous over sized leaf. Next I layered a mixture of acetate, foil & paper ephemera, puffy stickers, labels & stitching. By clustering them on the bottom right of the page, helped create an overall asymmetrical page design.

I love how even though I used plenty of techniques & product, the page still has a minimalist feel, which showcases the photos & journaling perfectly! This is yet another example of how versatile this stunning collection is! A special, everyday moment caught in autumn style!!

Thank you for stopping by!
