Hello everyone. Christin here today to share with you a layout with the Hello Sunshine collection.  This summer we were in the US for a few weeks and of
course we had to visit a few theme parks.   At Sea World we met a lot of lovely flamingos which we had to stop (and feed….) and say hello to. They were so gorgeous and coral. Just wish they had nicer water to play in – the brown water didn’t do them justice.

I loved the little pink flamingos in the ephemera pack and wanted to make my own flamingo. I found a few cut files to choose from, but I loved this fringy flamingo.  I make it quite big and layered all the cut out pieces.

I didn’t want to overshadow the flamingos – so I kept the page very simple and not many other embellishments.  Apart from the smaller flamingos I just added a few leaves.

The mixed media I used matched the papers and for the legs sto stand out a little I stitched the legs with black thread. I dug around in my stash and found some matching alphabets from the Attwell and Life is Beautiful collections.

For the top of the fringy flamingo I also added a few stitches.

You don’t need a cutting machine to add fringes, but it takes less time. My cameo was acting up a little so I almost printed the flamingo to  fussy cut it, but a little glad it worked out fine.  I also added a black stitched edge around the white cardstock.
