Happy Friday, Friends!
Mary-Ann here… something to learn about me…I am well known in the neighborhood as the lady with all the art supplies {probably like many of you}. You need something done, chances are, I have the tools you need. Assisting my little neighborhood pal on her 2nd grade art project was so much fun. I wanted to be sure to document it. I used the new The Bright Side Collection. For my layout, I wanted to ‘semi’-recreate the picture she completed. So, I used a FREE cut file from Paper Issues- Sunburst Background, enlarged it to have the sun, overlapping the edge of the corner. If I had thought in advance, I would have directly added my journaling to the sun rays. Instead, I cut the strips of journaling and individually placed them on the rays.
You can see the journaling close-up here.
I also used another FREE cut file from Paper Issues called Rings of Life for my flowers. I wanted to add something delicate with the fun colorful papers in The Bright Side Collection. Behind my photos, I layered some of the colorful tags in The Bright Side Tag pack and a few more papers for layering!
Oh, and that bow! It was part of the Pretty Paper Bows from the Millie and June Collection? It had a package of Paper Bows. I used the gold one that worked perfectly with the yellow background paper. I love mixing older with the new.
Thanks for stopping by today.
