Hey everyone! Today we are welcoming Evelyn Pratiwi Yusuf, but you may know her as a @geekgalz on Instagram or Pinterest. She’s 29, a mom and also wedding photographer from Indonesia, a tropical country where you can find the perfect beach to enjoy. She’s a coffee addict, pastels and layering lover and we are absolutely thrilled that she agreed to showcase her talent with Fancy Pants this month!
Thank you so much to Jodi for the invitation to be Fancy Pants GDT. I’m so honoured and yes I can’t stop scrapping using your collections!
Because I’m amazed with the collections (Making Waves, Summer Sun, and Office Suite) I just can’t stop creating some layouts and here I am sharing four layouts and one altered project using it. The collections are perfect for scrapping daily life, so I scrap mostly about my baby, me, and my hubby
The 1st project is about how my baby discovered his world since he can walk. He loves to play with cars and I really enjoy watching him playing with his favorite toys. So I scrap his photo using mostly Office Suite collection. I do love the card ‘explore’ which inspired me so much to create this layout.
The second one still about my baby, I scrap using Making Waves collection because I think the color combo is matching perfectly with the photo.
I just can’t stop layering and do some journaling in this layout. I am really in love with the collection, because the color combo is perfect for boy theme.
Next, still about my baby and his friend. This time I created 6×8 layout, I love this version lately and I mix Office Suite with Summer Sun collection into one layout.
Just because it’s a ‘boys’ layout I’m not scared about using pastel colors as my main color. I did some layering and make some movement in this layout so it will look more dynamic. Those number die cuts and also flair are my fav.
Last layout is about me… how I enjoy the new beach at Bangka Island in Indonesia. Those ‘beach babe’ wood veneer inspiring me to do this layout.
I used a big photo. I always love using big photos to scrap with and decorate it with some beach embellishment that you can find it in Summer Sun collection. They are so cute, hard for me to paste it to my layout just because they are so so cute. To make my layout have a modern look, I decided to use the pastel triangle pattern paper.
And this is my altered project using Fancy Pants Design’s Clipboard and Office Suite:
I used a photo of me and hubby. Lately this photo is my fav. I decided to print it out into polaroid style and layer it with gold deer pattern paper and also yellow paper. After that I decorated it using some flowers and flair. It is easy and simple and you will love the final result. I put it near my work desk as a room deco.

– What is your favorite kind of project to create?
I love love love creating some layouts in 12 x 12 but lately I change my size into 6×8 and 8.5×11 and automatically change my style. But I do really love creating some altered projects sometimes. DIY is always fun to create and makes me happy.
– What is you current favorite FPD product?
The Office Suite collection catches my eyes, the mix of pastel and bold color which is black is so me! Plus I do really love the flair and button mix. Good quality and cute in design!
– How has your work grown throughout the years?
From the beginning I always loved pastel colors as my main color to scrap with, but now I really love to mix it with some gold and black. Also these days I love clean and simple layouts. Mostly I use white cardstock as my background and still love to do some layering and stamping. It doesn’t mean I don’t like pattern! I do love it as long as itmatches with the photos.
