Hello!  It’s been a little while since I’ve been the “blogger” of the day…our team has been doing such a fantastic job that I’ve been watching from behind the scenes, soaking it all in!  But, I’m super excited to be here celebrating the US of A’s birthday!!!  I feel blessed to live in a free land and to have the opportunities I have!  Today I’m sharing a pretty little celebration piece for the 4th of July holiday in America!

So, I had this fun wood bracket piece that I picked up from The Wood Connection to add to a decor shelf in my house!  I painted it white and added a few gray stripes.  Then, I painted a vintage clip gold and nailed it to the board!  My plan is to have a different printable or design put out each month for fresh decor to celebrate the season ~ or as needed–maybe to celebrate a birthday, etc.!

My decor for July includes an adorable printable that I downloaded from The 36th Avenue ~ have you see this site?..it’s simply fabulous-go download this freebie ASAP {she has some more printable to coordinate for party time}–mine will stay up all through July!  I just loved the look of this so I printed it off right away and gathered some fun goodies to deck it out a bit!  I seem to like to add lots of texture and stuff to my pieces…but, really, this piece can stand alone if you like!!  I found a couple of vintage pieces~the ‘country’ flash card and the ‘4’ card.  Next, I incorporated some old and new Fancy Pants Designs products to give it some pop!

I took the red and white stripes paper from our NEW Making Waves collection and folded it accordion-style and stitched it down… kind of like a rippling flag!  Next, I added some texture with the cork stars, along with some cool tags (Red dotted and Navy Flocked~also from our Making Waves collection)! Last, I added some of our “OLD” red glitter chipboard alphas for the “OuR” portion of the title!  I’m thinking that red glitter really added the needed sparkle for the design…don’t you think?!  And here it is on the wall!!!!

It literally only took a few minutes!  And don’t you just LOVE the other decor pieces…. much of it is from a fun decor kit that I purchased from another fabulous place called Tada Home Decor last summer!  You know…sometimes we can’t create it all so we rely on other crafty friends to help us out!  I think it all came together quite nicely!  I hope that you all have a fancy FOURTH OF JULY ~ in the USA or elsewhere in this wonderful world!
