Hello everyone. Christin here today with a layout with the Family & Co collection.   When I looked at the papers in the collection I was inspired by the abstract grid stars.  I wanted to focus on the family theme in the collection and found the circle of love cutfile and it seems to be perfect for the layout.

For my background I tried to focus on the colors in the circle, but kept it a little lighter than the papers to help the papers stand out a little more.

I was a little sneaky with the title for this layout. I cut out the M and the Y from the puffy MAYBE. The word family comes from the same sheet. I like mixing fonts in a layout.  You might not always have all the letters, but there are often alternatives like this.

I like to do some stitching on my layouts so that things can stand out a little. Here I used a dark blue thread. I am not super careful when I stitch – it doesn’t really matter to me when the background is pretty messy anyway.  I stitched over the paper to be able to use the word LOVE as part of my title.

I arranged the embellishments to go around the circle. I use either some ephemera or a photo to fill a piece of the pie.

I decided that I wanted to place all the pieces to one side and to help this I added a patterned paper behind the circle, but I left it wider to the left than in the top and I stitched around it.  Things don’t have to be even all the time.
