Hello everyone. Christin here today with a new layout using the Sweet Nothings collection. I once saw felt hearts in lots of layers on Pinterest and I wanted to do the same thing with a layout.
First I used my Cameo to cut out five hearts. I added a stripe in the middle to score the middle making it easier to bend the papers.
To get the dimensional feel I didn’t glue all the layers below the score, but a little to the side to allow me to stitch through all the layers holding it together. Then I added 3d foam adhesive squares between each level in the middle between the stitching and the edge of the hearts.
I like adding mixed media to my background so that it can blend in with the papers.
I don’t like my handwriting, but when I have such a whimsical background it doesn’t matter that it’s not perfect. To add a little extra effect I wrote my journaling around the heart.
For my title I went with the puffy stickers in the collection. I wanted the focal point to be the hearts and then I needed a small title to go on one side of the heart.
I hope I have inspired you to think in different dimensions when creating a project. This project would easily be used as a mini album or a card, not just a layout.
