Good morning! Pinterest is such a great source of inspiration. You can virtually find inspiration in so many things on Pinterest that it’s easy to get lost there! I love heading over to Pinterest and pinning things that would a great jumping point for a layout!
I have one of my recent favorite pins to share with you today, along with how I used it to create my layout!
I love sewing projects for inspiration. There are so many great patterns and color that can be found in quilts, I often find a lot of inspiration from pieces like this one:
As you can see, there are lots of great lines in the quilt. That sparked my interest and I decided to trim some pieces of patterned paper from the Millie and June collection for my project. I trimmed 1/2″ strips in varying lengths and then pieced them together into a quilted like pattern. I didn’t want to fill the whole page so I worked from one side to the other to create the background.
Once my strips were down I added some stitching and then a title using the awesome epoxy words from the Happy Place collection and my new favorite letters – the chipboard alphas in the Life is Beautiful collection.
Because the background is pretty busy I kept the rest of the page fairly simple, adding some layers behind my photo and a few simple embellishments. I like how this came together and is different than the pages I have been creating lately! I like trying new things and even just laying out some simple strips of paper in different ways – you could take this in a bunch of different ways!
