Hi & welcome to another welcome the Fancy Pants Designs blog! Today I am excited to share a project inspired by cute house shaped shelves I saw on Pinterest. As you can see inspiration can come in the form of anything with super cute results.
Our Happy Home by Kim Watson
Using the overall design of the shelves, I created a cut file for myself. The white cardstock standing out nicely from the black & gold background. I love the way the patterned paper pieces jump off the page & the colors look extra vibrant against the dark background.
Each little quadrant was backed by a different pattern & embellished with a unique cluster. This one has a combination of a gold Flair, Puffy Stickers & Ephemera which creates height & interest.
Here I placed a photograph on top of the mint green heart paper, embellished with a little label for journaling, Puffy stickers & Ephemera. Foam tape & staples are a great to add great dimension & simple texture.
Here is a close up of the title which I incorporated into the cut file. Dressing it up with Puffy stickers, makes it super special.
Doesn’t the 3D bow look gorgeous here?? I love how the blue stripe adds a pop of bright color to this corner. And lastly, in keeping with the inspiration, I needed to add a critter to my layout, so I cut up a little label for this little Poodle dog & sentiment. All done, a cute page ready to fill a frame on the wall in my craft room.
Thanks for stopping by….but before I go, I have a little gift just for you.
