Now that spring has sprung, flowers are blooming, my allergies are driving me nuts and the onslaught of wedding invitations are arriving to my mailbox.  I try to customize the card that I give with a wedding gift (usually money), it seems a little more personal and you can personalize it to their taste.  Today I am sharing a card and matching envelope which is really a kraft bag, and I took inspiration from a photo on Pinterest.

I thought this image of this wedding bouquet was so pretty.  The bold colors remind me of the color palette in the Attwell collection, with the blues, yellows and reds.  Don’t get me wrong, I love soft and dainty floral arrangements but there is something to be said about a bride who chooses such a strong choice of colors.

For my project i used the 12 x 12 sheet of paper from the Attwell collection called Stunning. The A side is beautiful floral images with some outlined leaves and flowers.  I took scissors and cut out the different leaves and flowers, to create a paper flower bouquet.  I also used the 6×6 version.

Using an alphabet stamp set, I created the sentiment.  Using the last name of a couple, or even making the sentiment “mom” for Mother’s Day or whatever kind of card you want to make could be easily switched out.  The sentiment could also be created with stickers if you are not a stamper.

To coordinate the kraft bag with the card, I added flowers and ribbon to it.

What I loved about making this card set was that I didn’t need dies or any fancy tools to create the bouquet, just scissors and adhesive.
