Hello Fancy Pants friends! Nicole here today to kick off a week dedicated to all things sporty in honor of the 2016 Summer Olympics! I take quite a few photos of sport-related events, but truth be told they rarely make it to my pages mostly because I find the photos pretty busy. BUT – it is possible to take those photos and keep it simple too!
I started with some photos of my kids at a fan event for our local football team. We were able to get some good shots right down on the football field – this made the photos a little less busy than they normally are, and gave a great alternate point of view. I used those two photos for my page, alternating them between some text I die cut from various papers from the Office Suite and True Friend collections.
Because the photos are relatively busy I kept the rest of the page simple. I simply added some strips of paper along the right edge of the page, alternating color and pattern as I went. I tried to mix up a similar group of colors (yellow, blue, and teal) while mixing up all the colors so same colors were not side by side.
I finished off the page by adding some die cut stars along with a tag from the Everyday Circus collection and some cork stars and buttons.
