I admit that I am a sucker for die cutting in every form so I was thrilled to get to create with the wonderful Taylored Expressions dies this week! There’s something so lovely about the cushioned, sharp edge that only a manual die gives you.

I created two cards with the Me-ology collection from Fancy Pants Designs and I think you’ll agree that it worked fabulously with the Taylored Expressions dies and stamp set I chose.

The first card uses a base cut with the Layering Doily – large to mat a popped up ephemera bicycle.  I used the smaller version, Layering Doily – small, to accent the color I used in the tag bow.  And how cute is that sentiment banner??  I love stamps and die sets that coordinate like It’s a Banner Day 1.  Lining everything up was super easy!

I did something a little different on the second card.  I still used a base of the large layering doily but this time I stamped the sentiment on a curve along the edge of the doily.  It’s easy to do this with foam mounted rubber stamps because they’re so flexible.

I used a library pocket instead of a traditional folded card and the insert is perfect for writing a message.  The accent flower is actually created from four folded small Layering Doily die cuts.  I folded them in quarters, adhered them in a circle, and added a button.  I like to find out of the box uses for dies!

For today’s projects I used the new Me-ology collection (which I absolutely LOVE!) with the Taylored Expressions stamps and dies.

First up is a card that I created.  I am always in need of flat, mailable Thank You cards so using the Many Minis set was perfect.  I just layered the paper, one of the tags and a couple of ticket stubs from the collection.  I fussy cut the lady from some of the pattern paper. I like the addition of a little circle sentiment.  This was a quick and easy card to create.

Next up, I have created a Wine Bottle Tag.  This would be perfect for so many occasions!  Once again, the lady was fussy cut from the pattern paper.  I then punched and layered some circles onto the Wine Bottle Tag.  The sentiment from the Witty Wine Quotes fits with the lady very well! I then just clipped on one of the mini tags and tickets from the Me-ology collection to finish it all off.
