Hello Friends! This layout features dies from Taylored Expressions that stimulate creativity! They are simple to use and cut exquisitely, particularly with the Fancy Pants Designs Vellum and Foil paper. Taylored Dies are thin steel dies that work in most die cutting machines.

I used the Taylored Expressions Flutter-bys and Silhouette Stems 4  dies on this layout. The Silhouette Stems were cut from gold foil paper and the Flutter-bys from gold foil and vellum.

Silhouette Stems 4: Cut a strip of gold foil paper 4½“ in height. Die cut four silhouette stems. One die cut to be used for individual flowers and the base of the stems to be used for the large butterfly feelers. Adhere two stems to the left side of the layout and one to right-hand side of a Large Decorative Tag. Add small rhinestones, gems or metal studs to flowers.

Flutter-bys (Set of 4): Cut a strip of gold foil paper and vellum 2½“ in height. Die cut two sets of solid butterflies from the gold foil and the cut-out detailed butterflies from vellum.

Apply a few drops of Watermelon Alcohol Ink to an ink blending tool with felt. Add a few drops of Alcohol Blending Solution which is formulated to dilute and lighten the Alcohol Inks’ vibrant tone. Dab the blending tool on the gold foil butterfly. As the alcohol ink and blending solution react with the foil paper, it will lift the gold and replace with color as well as reveal a silver tone. Be careful not to apply too much as you still need the gold foil to show. Place the vellum die cut butterfly on top of the solid foil butterfly. I stitched the vellum to the foil. You could use a mini stapler to attach the vellum.

Embellish the layout with a strip of Fresh Bouquet paper, thin strip of Chic Burlap paper, cream tulle on top of the Fresh Bouquet paper and two pieces of cream ribbon. Then adhere on left side the two gold foil Silhouette Stems, a string/twine bow, Ticket and a floral Topper. Then add ‘you’re a reason to smile’ Ephemera, a small butterfly and a Small Decorative Tag.

Adhere a 4×3 Brag Card next to Small Decorative Tag. Add a Large Decorative Tag and a gold foil Silhouette Stem. Finish by adding a large foil and vellum butterfly, Ephemera florals, floral Topper, ribbon bow, heart chipboard Button and extra Silhouette Stem flower. Finish layout with a photo and add a small foil and vellum butterfly and a Flair to top, right side of the layout. Optional: cut a word from gold foil on a Silhouette Cameo and adhere on bottom, left edge of the photo.

Metal dies have become super trendy in the scrapbooking industry of late, so imagine how thrilled I was opening my box of seriously cool metal dies from Taylored Expressions :) Teamed with the superb ‘Me-ology’ collection, I am excited to share this fun page!

Hello Gorgeous by Kim Watson

Inspired by the ever popular Pocket-scrapbooking trend & the ‘Pocket & Pages essentials die set’, I cut paper cards & positioned them in a grid design, then decorated them with a mixture of fabulous elements.

Using a decorative folder for my journaling, I layered the cover with a playful flower from the ‘This way to Smiles‘ die set & mini leaf branch using the ‘Twiggy Branch’ die.

Here, the chevron tab, in white cardstock, from the ‘This way to Smiles‘ die set, works so well clustered with pretty epherema.

Next I layered a funky magenta arrow from the ‘Pocket & Pages essentials die set’ with a glossy ticket.

The ‘This way to Smiles‘ die set, made building 3D blooms a cinch to create.

Once again the  ‘Pocket & Pages essentials die set’  came in handy for this card with the super speech bubble used as a mat for my title, grounded with a dainty ‘Basic bow’ die in black for a bit of punch.

Gorgeous dies, teamed up with the fantastic Me-ology collection… is one of the reasons why I love this hobby!
