Hello everyone. It’s Anna here with my second project created with Fancy Pants goodies. Spring is almost here and I am so tired of winter and grey colors around me. That’s why I reached for “The bright side” collection with real pleasure. It’s filled with so many vivid colors and having a whole rainbow of them is something I love to do in my projects.
I digged into some older pictures and found this funny duet trying to escape from the playground.
The picture was taken in May 2014 and it was already warm and green everywhere. It has limited color palette as everything, including my daughter’s clothes is green or neutral. I thought it needed something cheerful to compliment the mood of play and fun. That’s why I took almost all pattern papers from 6*6 paper pad and used them to cut title with my Silhouette Cameo. The cut file from Just Nick called “Handcut letters” had this perfect, wonky feel.
With so many patterned papers used to create a title I needed a calmer background. White cardstock splashed with a little bit of yellow, red and green mists was a perfect choice to let the letters shine.
I added some flowers from ephemera pack and chipboard stickers sheet to highlight the spring mood. I scattered them between the letters. It also helped me to fill all the empty spaces that could make a layout look like not finished.
When you use colorful pictures, you have to be careful with adding colors. They should complement the photos, not overwhelm it. In my case, every vivid color will look good with green. Like a spring meadow. I used two pictures and embellished it with few tags and tabs from the tags set.
I finished my page by adding few puffy shape stickers. This is usually my final step with most of the projects.
That’s all for today. If you would like to purchase this pretty “The bright side” collection, check your local stores first!! You can also check our shop Make a Pretty Life!
