Hello friends!

Summer is such an amazing time to be outdoors enjoying the beauty of the warm weather and nature. This layout focuses on different methods and uses of die cutting on a layout. I have included elements from the Summer Sun Collection which is full of light and bright colors… just to help make creating a layout a breeze!

Firstly I selected various embellishment designs from the Summer Sun Collection and then added an element using a metal die and die-cutting machine with the gold foil paper.

The variety of tags in the tag pack was the inspiration to start embellishing the layout. A cluster of tags formed the foundation and an interesting focal point. Layering different shape and size tags creates interest and dimension. I used only one tag with jute and removed the twine from the other tags. To finish this cluster I added die-cut floral designs from the ephemera pack, a matching floral chipboard button and sequins.

Pink ribbon was added to a label tag. The tag was raised with foam strips and adhered to the layout. A wood veneer die-cut was added. I used the wood veneer without inking or altering… it was perfect to use as is! I just added a die-cut word ‘discover’ cut using a metal die with the gold foil paper – a perfect match. To finish, a floral chipboard button was added to the tag.

The photo was adhered on top of a glassine bag. A ‘frame’ was created around the photo using different die-cut edge strips from the insta pack, a happy flair and a simple jute bow.
