Hey ya’ll!

Stephanie here. I hope this post finds you all well. The last time I shared on here it was a 12×12 layout and I disclosed that it had been awhile since I had created that design size. I’m really not a full “12×12 scrapbooker”, although I do like to make one here and there to hang up or just for fun, my true creative passion is for smaller projects; mini albums, planners, junk journals, and bible journaling.

I say all that to say that from now on I want to show you projects that best represent me and my real passions, and that are full of inspiring content and design ideas. I hope that makes sense.
So let’s get to it….
I finally got to dig into the new summer collection from Fancy Pants Designs and oh me oh my I’m just floatin’ giddy over here. The new collection, Poolside, is just “plunge” perfect for summer scrappin’. And what better way to scrap the many awesome summertime events than in fun interactive mini-albums.

For this mini-album I wanted something bright, colorful and interactive; much like the Florida trip it represents. I made three double page inserts and one interactive pocket that holds extra photos. I love mixing in bags, pockets and tags when I can for extra hidden goodies.

This collection comes with these fun rubber embellished paper clips and I think they such a cool way to add a title or pop of color.
I also like to include shaker pockets with fun sequins, shapes and embellishments from the line.

I like to build my mini-album pages simultaneously so that I know how it will look all together. The next for pages basically double sided layouts, much like a smaller version of a traveler’s notebook. I used lots of pattern papers to back my photos and then accented the photos with lots of colorful ephemera from the Pool Side collection. And just for fun I added some water droplets of teal paint to every page! It really pulls it all together.

I have to say that this page is my favorite one from this project. Perhaps its because these little marco polo die cuts are my favorite from the Pool Side collection!
